Invisalign® is a set of clear aligner trays that are designed to gently move your teeth into their ideal position. The trays are made from a flexible, clear material that is virtually invisible and easy to clean. Patients love Invisalign® for a subtle way to achieve the perfect smile!
While Invisalign® is a great option for many patients, others may not be good candidates for the treatment. If your orthodontist determines that your orthodontic needs cannot be adequately addressed with Invisalign®, clear braces can be used for those seeking a less noticeable treatment.
Consider Invisalign to get the beautiful straight teeth you’ve always wanted – without braces. A complimentary consultation with our doctors can determine if Invisalign is right for you. Invisalign takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. You’ll achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you’re wearing. So, you can smile more during treatment as well as after. Invisalign is made with 3-D computer imaging technology and has been proven effective. Aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements we plan for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. Accelerated treatment available with Accelendent.
Why would I want Invisalign?
Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing are no problem. They are also comfortable, with no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment. And no metal and wires usually means you spend less time in your doctor’s office getting adjustments. Invisalign also allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.
How does Invisalign work?
You wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you aubreyfreplace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to the final position the doctor prescribed. You’ll visit our office about once every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 3-21 months depending on the needs.
